Amityville Public Library

At Amityville they hosted a Great Play Date Day featuring events like Elephant Stomp and Color Hockey!

Bayport-Blue Point Public Library

Bayport-Blue Point had a Down on the Farm celebration!

Babylon Public Library

Babylon had a series of outdoor play stations where families could get Playday Passports stamped! The program moved inside later in the afternoon.

Brookhaven Free Library

Brookhaven’s Great Playdate was a camping trip! Each family was handed a map (since they were “Going on a Bear Hunt”!) when they arrived and went station to station based on the book. At the end they received s’mores trail mix and took a picture with the bear!

Comsewogue Public Library

Comsewogue celebrated the Great Playdate with early childhood learning through stories, crafts, dance, scavenger hunt and parachute play. Crafts included Fall Tree decorating, Alphabet Rocket Ship, and Balloon Cup Shooters.

Cutchogue-New Suffolk Free Library

Cutchogue-New Suffolk had open pre-school play stations- playdough, dress-ups, coloring, science as rice table play, stories and book area (from 10:00 – 2:00) and Lyrical Children Music at 2pm.

Floyd Memorial Library

At Floyd, children attended a program presented by the Pollock-Krasner House, where they were inspired to paint with sticks, sponges, cotton swabs, combs, and other fun stuff!

Hauppauge Public Library

Hauppauge had an afternoon of unstructured, child-directed play with Imagination Playground’s lightweight foam blocks!

Middle Country Public Library

John Jermain Memorial Library

Over at John Jermain Library they hosted the GPD from 12-2 PM. We had stations set up that targeted reading, learning and playing! We had story time with Wally our “Reading Dog,” a book and a craft, sensory kits, as well as miniature golf and the giant connect four set up outside.

North Shore Public Library

North Shore started the day with a Stay & Play Infant/Toddler class, then kicked off their 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program, enjoyed the Mr. Mouse Puppet Show and made awesome puppets with puppeteer Katie Polk!

Patchogue-Medford Library

Patchogue-Medford had a day packed full of programs!

Southold Free Library

At Southold kids participated in activities all day long, including Toddler and Me Art Class, Storytime Art and Klutz Kit Krafts!

West Babylon Public Library

West Babylon had a visit from the West Babylon Fire Department!

Westhampton Free Library

At Westhampton they had a day packed with programs, including Clam Shell Painting, Family Lawn Games, a movie, and a special program open house!
